Warehouse Automation: Scanco Announces A Manufacturing Plug-In For MAS 500's Warehouse Automation Module
Scanco, LLC announces the release of Shopwatch WA, a manufacturing plug-in to the Sage MAS 500 Warehouse Automation Module. Shopwatch WA provides Warehouse Automation users the functionality to perform MAS 500 manufacturing transactions including Material Issues, Material Returns, Labor transactions and Production Entry on a handheld device. Scanco's software includes updates to the Warehouse Automation profiles setup, the Warehouse Automation Listener application and the handheld client software.
Benefits to Shopwatch WA include real time tracking of raw material and production information from the shop floor, reduced data entry time and real-time visibility of production status. "The response from the Sage MAS 500 community to the new Warehouse Automation module has been tremendous. However, users of the MAS 500 Manufacturing modules voiced a need to achieve the same results they experience on the warehouse floor on the shop floor." says Paul Heim, President of Scanco. MAS 500 Manufacturing customers currently record raw material issues and production entries manually and then key the information into the MAS 500 ERP system. With the installation of Shopwatch WA, the time delay for the manual process has been eradicated and manufacturers can see real time updates to inventory of both raw materials and finished goods instantaneously. In Shopwatch WA's Labor Utility, Managers will also be able to see a real time view of what step or stage each Work Order is in to better plan resources and respond to customer inquiries.
