Trimble And FleetCor Intro FuelGuard Reporting For MRM

FuelGuard Reporting Feature Enhances Trimble MRM Solutions with Improved Fuel Card Fraud Detection and Fuel Use Management.

Trimble recently introduced its FuelGuard reporting feature, a suite of fuel management reports for improved Mobile Resource Management (MRM). Trimble's FuelGuard reporting feature combines FleetCor MasterCard fuel purchase information with Trimble's TrimWeb fleet productivity services enabling operators to more easily identify the fueling of unauthorized vehicles on company-issued fuel cards. The FuelGuard reporting feature also allows fleet operators to measure the return of fuel reduction efforts such as optimizing miles driven, reducing engine idle time, and reducing vehicle speeding. Fleet owners will be able to determine which fleet activities most impact actual fuel consumption and make data-driven decisions to maximize fuel reduction programs.

Trimble's FuelGuard reporting feature requires a FleetCor MasterCard fuel card and Trimble's TrimWeb fleet productivity service.

"The combination of GPS fleet tracking and FleetCor's fuel card transaction data brings a unique value proposition to our customers," said Rick Beyer, Trimble vice president. "Many of our customers who use FleetCor fuel cards compare vehicle location data with fuel transaction data by hand. The FuelGuard reporting feature is an innovative solution that can save time and effort for our customers."

"The Trimble program is a natural expansion of our co-branding strategy," said Ron Clarke, chairman and CEO, FleetCor. "We focused on working with the leaders in their respective segments to leverage their brand strengths, distribution assets and large customer bases. The Trimble program is consistent with this strategy; we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship."

Trimble GPS-based fleet productivity solutions and FleetCor fuel cards are now available separately. Trimble's FuelGuard reporting feature is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2008. For more information, visit: www.trimble.com/fuelguard
