TradeBeam Closes $29M Equity Investment

TradeBeam Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of on-demand Global Trade Management (GTM) software and services, recently closed Series C funding of over $29M dollars. The Series C was led by new investors Camden Partners Strategic Fund III and Torch Hill Investment Partners and includes investments by all existing institutional shareholders including The Carlyle Group, Enterprise Partners, Sigma Partners and The Sprout Group. The oversubscribed Series C round brings total cash raised for the company to $57.5M since the launch of TradeBeam in August 2001.

"We have been evaluating the growing GTM market for several years. It is clear that Graham and his team are well positioned to scale TradeBeam to deliver increasing value to its global customer base," said Richard Berkeley, Managing Member of Camden Partners Holdings, LLC.

The new funds will be used to expand TradeBeam's global operations in Europe and to expedite product development across the platform, including its solution for the Asian market where the company has a strategic partnership with China International Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd (CIECC) to sell the TradeBeam GTM platform throughout China. CIECC has just completed training of nearly 120 sales people across China and approximately 20 Chinese companies are actively using the TradeBeam solution for global trading.

"Over the last year TradeBeam has experienced the best sales performance in its history for both new bookings and subscription renewals. This has resulted in more than 50 percent year over year bookings growth in each of the last four quarters. TradeBeam's goal is to be a top three provider in The Americas, Europe and Asia to support our customers globally. At this time we are very pleased to add Camden and Torch Hill to TradeBeam's high caliber investor group," said Graham R.F. Napier, TradeBeam CEO and President.
