Supply Chain Management: ICG Commerce Clients Recognized For Supply Chain Management Excellence

ICG Commerce, one of the leading procurement services provider, recently announced that procurement leaders from two client companies, Myron Gramelspacher of Greif Inc. and Steven Lee of The Timken Company, have been named 2007 'Pros to Know' by Supply and Demand Chain Executive magazine. The publication also awarded the title to ICG Commerce's Vice President of Operations, Steve Simko.

The Practitioner Pros to Know is a listing of exceptional corporate executives at manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises who are driving the transformation initiatives and achieving the bottom-line successes that are helping Supply Chain earn recognition as a true strategic partner to the business.

Myron Gramelspacher, Vice President, Global Logistics and Indirects at Greif, Inc. was recognized for his leadership of the company's Global Sourcing and Supply Chain organization. Gramelspacher's successful implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives established preferred supplier contracts, increased data visibility and provided the company significant cost savings.

Steven Lee, General Manager, Global Indirect Purchasing at The Timken Company, was recognized for his strategic transformation of the company's indirect materials and services procurement group. Under Lee's direction, indirect procurement has become a centralized organization, focusing its resources into global commodity management and outsourcing non-core purchasing activities.

Steve Simko, Vice President of Operations, ICG Commerce, was recognized for his development of innovative concepts such as customer Buying Centers, which apply quality and procedure improvements to transaction processes, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality purchase-to-pay services.

"We congratulate Myron and Steve on being selected for this important industry award," said Carl Guarino, CEO of ICG Commerce. "They consistently demonstrate a thorough understanding of current issues in supply chain management and excel in implementing progressive, strategic procurement solutions for their companies. We're also very pleased that our own Steve Simko was acknowledged for the valuable knowledge and experience he brings to our customers."
