Leading Norwegian sporting goods and outdoor equipment retailer Gresvig is set to launch Blue Ridge Cloud demand forecasting, replenishment and analytics solutions.

Atlanta, Georgia & Oslo, Norway (PRWEB) - SaaS demand forecasting, inventory replenishment and analytics solutions leader Blue Ridge announced today that Gresvig Retail Group has selected the company’s cloud-based, supply chain planning solutions. Norway’s leading sports and leisure equipment retailer will launch the Blue Ridge technology in order to fuel growth with improved visibility and precision.

Gresvig retail stores faced a difficult combination of forecasting and replenishing both highly seasonal, slow moving items and items with consistent, perpetual demand. The company’s previous "Open-to-Buy" plan could not efficiently manage both categories. Gresvig supply chain manager Audun Martinsen commented, "We realized we could gain an enormous amount of efficiency and cash flow by using an advanced forecasting system to support our seasonal demand patterns." He went on to say, "By increasing visibility, our replenishment team can provide even higher levels of customer service."

Initiatives to improve supply chain operations and collaboration also motivated the Norwegian sporting goods retailer to choose the Blue Ridge cloud-based demand forecasting and inventory replenishment solution. "The Blue Ridge solution will help streamline business processes even beyond purchasing. The Advanced Projections technology will allow us to predict warehouse capacity strains well before they happen, adapt accordingly and avoid the burden," stated Kai Knutsen, Supply Chain Director at Gresvig. "With a cloud-based solution, we can collaborate more easily, providing a whole new level of predictability both for our suppliers as well as our 3rd party freight/transport companies."

Located in Oslo, Norway, Gresvig serves 262 stores, whereof 9 are GMAX stores,159 are G-Sport stores and 94 are Intersport stores. 97 of the stores are Gresvig’s own stores. These brands are developed, marketed, and sold at all Gresvig retail locations and bring revenue of over $485 million USD.

Blue Ridge is eager to welcome Gresvig into their growing community of retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. "We are thrilled to work with such a capable team and forward-thinking executives," stated Greg White, CEO at Blue Ridge. "We expect Gresvig’s demand-driven initiatives will not only create a leaner, more visible supply chain, but also strengthen their position as an industry leader."
