A Sedlak team, headed by president Jeffrey B. Graves, designed a new 800,000 sq. ft. distribution center for VF Outdoor, Inc., a division of VF Corporation, to achieve efficiencies in labor management and economies of scale in transportation. The distribution center will be located in Visalia, California. Ground breaking will take place this week.

Over the past several years, VF Outdoor, Inc. experienced explosive growth with the acquisitions of several brands, most recently Reef®. The company plans to distribute its Reef® and The North Face® brand products through the new distribution facility.

Sedlak will be responsible for the internal design of the facility infrastructure to support distribution operations, information systems and material handling equipment. They will work with the building contractors as a part of a phased implementation plan. VF Outdoor, Inc. expects to begin distribution through the new facility in June 2006.

"We asked Sedlak to design our new facility because of their expertise in distribution and operations design. We have collaborated on other projects and trust their experience. An essential element to the project is flexibility and Sedlak has proven their focus on flexible design. VF Outdoor, Inc. will grow and we need a facility that can change with our business," said Tim Dye, vice president of distribution, VF Corporation, North America.
