Schneider Electric To Activate Manhattan Supply Chain Process Platform To Support Its Global Logistics Operations

Schneider Electric will, initially, leverage the Supply Chain Process Platform with Manhattan's Warehouse Management (WMS) and Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI) solutions – integral components of the Manhattan SCOPE® solution portfolio. Warehouse Management will help optimize every component in Schneider Electric's distribution centers—space, skills, inventory and equipment— to fill orders faster and more accurately, improve productivity, save space and reduce inventory, while Manhattan's Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI) solution will use powerful data analytics to give Schneider Electric the strategic and actionable insights it needs to drive logistics performance improvements.

In activating Manhattan's Supply Chain Process Platform, Schneider Electric sees the Manhattan technology as very complementary to its current supply chain information systems. The Manhattan technology will strengthen its existing ERP capabilities, and provide Schneider Electric with the functional flexibility it needs to support the complex processes and large volumes associated with its high velocity, global distribution centers.

Henri Seroux, managing director of Manhattan Associates in France, commented, "The richness and flexibility of our solutions, our ability to deliver those solutions via the Manhattan Supply Chain Process Platform, and offering a common solution deployment and support experience across the globe helped us meet all of Schneider Electric's key requirements. We are delighted to be working with such a successful and ambitious organization as Schneider Electric and look forward to building a long and fruitful partnership together."

The initial project will involve the implementation of Manhattan's WMS at four sites in the U.S. and Europe, with the pilot site scheduled to go-live later in 2012. Beyond that, Schneider Electric has identified additional sites, where it is also envisaged that the Manhattan solutions will be deployed.
