Ryder Adds V3 Systems To Its Technology Solutions Suite

V3 Systems, provider of supply chain execution software for global manufacturers and 3PLs, today announced that Ryder System, Inc., (NYSE: R), a global leader in transportation and supply chain management solutions has signed a Master License Agreement with V3 Systems. Ryder has added V3 Systems to its technology solutions suite to provide inventory management and supply chain execution for its customers.

Ryder cited V3 Systems rapid implementation, flexibility, multi-facility inventory visibility, and "process control" as primary reasons for its choice. Ryder will deploy the V3 system via the web to help manage forward or reverse supply chain interaction among buyers, sellers, shippers, and manufacturers of any size. V3 Systems capabilities include inbound raw material management, supplier-owned inventory (SOI), vendor-managed inventory (VMI); outbound distribution and merge/merge-in-transit, as well as consumer/distributor fulfillment, and network solutions for reverse logistics, spare parts, and service logistics.

In order to meet the requirements of customers' varying supply chain processes, Ryder and V3 Systems will work together to deploy the software using V3's Reference Process Model capabilities. By leveraging this model, Ryder can respond to its customer's changing business processes, the complexities of various facilities, or changing customer demands, and can quickly and directly configure the software without having to depend on custom code.

"Ryder added V3 Systems to its distribution management technology offering based upon our need to provide our customers with rapid, simultaneous technology deployments across networked facilities, low cost of ownership, and rapid ROI," said Kevin Bott, vice president of Supply Chain Solutions Technology Services for Ryder. "V3 Systems has a strong reputation for quick deployments, and customer control of the technology. We welcome V3 as a technology partner and look forward to optimizing our supply chain technologies' performance as a result of our joint efforts."

"V3 Systems and Ryder share well-earned reputations for unmatched service and high standards, and we both have an unyielding desire to reduce our customer's deployment time, IT infrastructure requirements, and total-cost-of-ownership," said Ashley Campbell, vice president of Business Development for V3 Systems. "V3 Systems has demonstrated its consistent ability to deploy across multiple facilities in record time, while providing inventory visibility. We are thrilled to extend these capabilities to Ryder's customers through our new agreement."
