Redwood Logistics Selected By World's Finest Chocolate® As Transportation Management Partner

Chicago /PRNewswire/ - Redwood Logistics (Redwood), a top-100 3PL provider and one of the fastest growing logistics companies in North America, announced today it has been selected by World's Finest Chocolate® as its transportation management partner.

As part of the partnership, Redwood — who was the first company to be named a Logistics Integrator through MercuryGate's new program — implemented a highly customized version of MercuryGate's transportation management system (TMS) across World's Finest Chocolate's warehouse, shipping and tracking operations for increased efficiency and added business intelligence. Redwood designed, executed and implemented three highly customized projects — including a tailored TMS solution, custom API for eCommerce transit calculation, and a brand new UI to allow employees and salespeople to view tracking information — within an abbreviated timeline of just over sixty days.

Redwood's TMS customizations for World's Finest Chocolate encompassed multiple integration interfaces, custom workflows, and dozens of carrier and warehouse users. The custom-built translation logic included in the TMS implementation was designed for World's Finest Chocolate to raise operational efficiency and to further improve customer service across a network of 16 warehouses using a customized rating and tracking user interface that is open and available to any user, with or without access to the TMS.

The rating and transit application developed by Redwood features a custom integration pattern that allows World's Finest Chocolate to track shipments in real time, a vital tool in providing the highest level of customer service.
