RedTail Solutions Sees Continued Growth Despite Tough Economic Times
RedTail Solutions, which delivers managed services for electronic data interchange (EDI) and global data synchronization (GDS) to mid-market suppliers, recently announced another record year of growth with EDI transaction volumes increasing nearly 30% in 2008.
The company has grown steadily since its inception realizing a four-fold revenue increase since 2004.
RedTail's managed services solution optimizes the order-to-cash cycle for mid-market manufacturers and distributors selling to large trading partners like Wal-Mart and The Home Depot. Key to RedTail's success is the solution's seamless integration with today's most popular mid-market business accounting solutions from Microsoft, Sage Software and AccountMate.
"We have proven to our investors that we can thrive during a compromised economy," said Bob Gleason, RedTail's president and CEO. "We provide tremendous value to our customers and VAR partners. Customers are drawn to RedTail because we do it right – we significantly reduce their costs, while eliminating the effort and risk associated with having to manage their own EDI operations."
In 2008 RedTail's new customers ranged from consumer packaged goods manufacturers to laboratory equipment suppliers including Argento SC, Fair Winds Trading Inc., Echo Brand Management Ltd., and BioSan Laboratories, Inc.
RedTail has over a hundred leading Microsoft, Sage and AccountMate VAR partners that refer RedTail's solution to their customers. In these difficult economic times, RedTail's low up-front fees means its partners are able to lower overall solution costs, delivering other mission critical services in place of costly EDI software licensing fees.
RedTail's managed EDI service is easy for customers to get up and running in a matter of weeks. Its pay-per-transaction pricing model lets customers pay only for what they use and they can scale up the service as their business grows.
In addition, RedTail delivered notable product enhancements in 2008, including:
- A new EDI Transaction Reporting capability that provides timely and in-depth reports which account for all EDI data that has been exchanged with trading partners.
- Enhancements to its EDI Translation Server for increased performance, scalability and reliability as transactions pass between suppliers and trading partners.
"Since joining RedTail a year ago, I am more convinced than ever that we are well positioned for continued growth even during this economic downturn," said Gleason. "Our investors, led by Venture Capital Fund of New England, support us in growing our business and our technology platform because they understand that EDI is a need-to-have technology, not a nice-to-have, and we are the only company delivering on-demand EDI to the mid-market in this unique way."
