Power Freight Doubles Portland Operations, Goes Stylishly Green

Power Freight Systems, a leading West Coast third party logistics provider (3PL), recently announces the addition of a new facility in Tualatin, Oregon. This is the latest expansion of their Portland, Oregon distribution and logistics operations, serving the Pacific Northwest.

The company provides warehousing and distribution, air and surface freight forwarding, 3PL and 4PL services to clientele in the greater Portland area.

Power Freight Systems has been operating locally in the Oregon market since 2004. The region's fertile and dynamic business climate has driven the company's continuous expansion over the past 3 years.

"The Northwest has been a region of incredible growth for us. We have selected Oregon as a regional base and as a strategic foothold for rolling out more of our services to a national clientele," says Malcolm Winspear, Power Freight Systems CEO.

The recently-constructed facility is located in the Southwest Portland metropolitan area. It provides an additional 58,000 square feet of distribution and administrative space for Power Freight Systems.

When selecting the locale, the company considered accessibility, security, and space and energy efficiency. The new facility features a 30 foot ceiling for high bay storage, multiple well-lit tuck loading bays and energy efficient lighting throughout.

"Conserving energy as part of our daily operations goes beyond management's P&L obligations. Today, third party logistics providers play a key role in the global supply chain and monitoring and controlling our carbon footprint is both a fiscal and humanitarian responsibility. We're proud to be able to grow our business and respect these values at the same time," added Winspear.

Power Freight Systems has earned a world class reputation for time-critical logistics and distribution services. The expansion of infrastructure in the Northwest strengthens their core operations, and enables additional levels of distribution and fulfillment services and improved customer responsiveness in the region.

The new Oregon facility will be fully operational on September 1, 2007. It will function as the base for Power Freight Systems' current overnight line haul services between Portland and the San Francisco Bay Area.
