Panjiva Wins Prestigious CODiE Award For Best Supply Chain Management Solution

Search for Sourcing Recognized for Making It Easy to Find Overseas Suppliers

New York, NY--(Marketwire) - Panjiva, the leading source of objective information on overseas suppliers and manufacturers, today announced that the latest version of its supply chain intelligence platform, Panjiva Search for Sourcing, has been honored with a prominent software industry CODiE Award. The CODiE Awards, which are hosted by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), recognize excellence in business software, digital content, and education technology industries.

Panjiva Search for Sourcing revolutionized the way companies identify, vet and monitor overseas suppliers by enabling them to do it in a matter of seconds. With robust natural language search functionality, users can type a query in the same format they would in a traditional search engine allowing for a better user experience and a deeper, faster search. Users can search Panjiva with a very specific query, like a competitor or supplier name, or conduct a broad search by region or item. Previously, users had to structure many searches with advanced, multi-field search queries and manually curate the appropriate results.

"Supply chain and sourcing professionals face significant challenges in their daily jobs, and Panjiva is trying to eliminate as many hurdles as possible," said James Psota, chief technology officer, Panjiva. "We've put all the information they need to do their jobs better right at their fingertips, and, with Panjiva, they don't have to know how to structure advanced search queries or use complex technology. I'm extremely proud of the team for building a solution worthy of a CODiE."

Panjiva was selected from a pool of top supply chain management vendors after an in-depth peer-review process and voting from SIIA members. Although many supply chain management solutions require specific training and technology expertise, any user that knows how to use Google can use Panjiva. In a few keystrokes, any member of a sourcing team has the ability to find overseas suppliers based on the products they supply, the geography in which they are located, and other U.S. companies with whom they have done business.

"Now in its 26th year, the CODiE Awards continue to recognize those companies providing the best new technology products and services across a broad array of industries," said SIIA President Ken Wasch. "In addition, its winners are a prolific testament to the power of technology to deliver innovative solutions to businesses and consumers. SIIA warmly congratulates all of the winners and nominees of the CODiE Awards, whose innovation is essential for continuing America's leadership in the global knowledge economy."

Panjiva's line of intelligence solutions for sourcing teams is constantly evolving, driven by its team of MIT-trained engineers. In addition to Search for Sourcing, Panjiva also recently launched Trendspotting, a solution that presents an intelligent view of which countries or regions regularly export a particular item. Together, these complementary solutions intelligently sort and organize roughly 20 data sources, including complicated U.S. Census Bureau and Customs data, to help facilitate the first two critical steps in the supply chain process: identifying the regions from which to source and the specific suppliers with which to do business.
