MHEFI Reed-Apple Award To ESYNC's John Hill
ESYNC is honored to announce that John M. Hill, ESYNC Principal and Board Member, received the Material Handling Education Foundation's (MHEFI) prestigious Reed-Apple Award on Monday, September 20th during the Material Handling Industry of America's (MHIA) Annual Meeting in Dallas, TX.
A founder of the Automatic Identification Manufacturers (AIM) trade association, John is a charter member of AIDC 100. He has served as president of MHEFI and the Material Handling Industry of America and was a co-founder of MHIA's Integrated Systems & Controls (ISC) and Logistics Execution Systems (LESA) groups. In 1997, he received the Norman L. Cahners award for contributions to the U. S. material handling industry and material handling education. He was inducted into Modern Material Handling magazine's 20th Century Material Handling Hall of Fame in 2000 and named to DC Velocity magazine's 2003 roster of Logistics Rainmakers. A current member of CLM and WERC, he also serves on MHIA's Board of Governors. Widely published in national and international trade and professional journals, he has presented over 300 seminars for academia, corporate clients, trade and professional societies in North and Latin America, Europe and Asia. He has served as a faculty member of The Logistics Institute at Georgia Institute of Technology since its inception.
John began his career with 3M Company (International), moving to pioneering roles at Computer Identics (bar code), Eaton-Kenway (ASRS & AGVS), IDX (RFID) and Logisticon (WMS) before joining ESYNC in 1999. During his career, he has spearheaded the implementation of supply chain technology and systems for over one hundred firms in the aerospace, appliance, automotive, basic metals, consumer goods, electrical products, electronics, food, grocery, medical products, pharmaceutical and printing industries.

the memory of Drs. Ruddell Reed, Jr. and James M. Apple, renowned material
handling educators and innovators. It is presented to those nominees who
