Supply Chain Security addresses heightened threats to the supply chain including cyber, terrorism, organized crime, theft and tampering, and country-of-origin risks.

Atlanta, CA (PRWEB) - Modulo, a leading provider of technology governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, today announced that a Fortune 500 manufacturing company has expanded its GRC program to include Modulo’s new Supply Chain Security (SCS) solution. The SCS solution is available as part of the Third Party Risk Management solution suite for Modulo’s award-winning GRC platform, leveraging the product’s strong capabilities for surveys and mobile device evidence collection. The manufacturing company, which has several hundred third-party suppliers to manage, such as parts manufacturers and shipping companies, will use Modulo Risk Manager to comply with the U.S Department of Homeland Security’s voluntary program to ensure security and anti-terrorism controls are in place for import and export activities.

Supply Chain Security addresses heightened threats to the supply chain including cyber terrorism, organized crime, theft and tampering, and country-of-origin risks. As reliance on third-party suppliers grows and compliance requirements become more burdensome, U.S. companies are seeking ways to automate the SCS process and fold it into their broader GRC program. Incorporating SCS into enterprise risk management and reporting allows organizations to achieve better visibility into threats and compliance gaps. Automating SCS also helps to improve business efficiency and lowers costs associated with performing and reporting complex assessments.

“Supply chains magnify enterprise risk. No company is immune. We are pleased to see this new SCS offering being adopted by some of the nation’s largest companies. This development further validates Modulo’s vision to integrate Information Technology, Operational Technology and Physical Security programs and support Chief Information Security Officers as they look to address tomorrow’s risks,” said Steve Gant, Managing Director, North America, Modulo.

Modulo’s new Supply Chain Security solutions enable users to gather, manage, and report data related to multiple SCS regimes including the U.S. Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), Canada’s Partners in Protection (PIP), Mexico’s New Scheme of Certified Companies (NEEC), and the security component of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) programs in the EU, Japan, Korea, The Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Argentina, among others.

The SCS solution takes into account the need to cross-map broader security and cyber regulations, international standards, and company policies in order to optimize security governance, eliminate redundant assessments of vendors and produce SCS specific compliance reports. In addition, Modulo’s weighted scoring provides the necessary intelligence reduce risk to the organization by identifying and eliminating true threats. .
