Kehe Food Distributors Chooses iWay Software for Real-Time Integration of Its Supply Chain

iWay Software, an Information Builders company and an innovator of enterprise integration solutions, recently announced that Kehe Food Distributors has selected iWay Software's integration solutions to automate internal business processes and facilitate efficient business-to-business transactions with Kehe's external vendors and customers. The move ensures Kehe has the infrastructure needed to manage inventory, meet customer demand and accommodate rapid market growth.

Distributing more than 40,000 specialty items such as ethnic products, gourmet and natural foods to more than 12,000 grocery stores in 49 states, Kehe will rely on iWay Software's solutions to integrate many of its legacy systems and facilitate B2B requirements using iWay Service Manager SOA Middleware and Data Migrator platforms. This complete integration solution will support the inventory management, order validation, customer management and invoice routing needs of Kehe to support growth, and improve customer and vendor service.

iWay will allow Kehe to automate their complex business processes in a loosely coupled, reusable manner, providing a solid foundation for a service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach. This architecture methodology eliminates the need to write or maintain custom integration code, helping Kehe Food better align technology goals and assets with business goals and assets.

"With consumer spending for natural, organic and other specialty products on the rise, and continued growth within ethnic communities throughout the United States, we outgrew our custom legacy systems, making it difficult to stay ahead of demand," said Scott Cousins, CIO, Kehe Food. "Implementing iWay's innovative technology solutions provides Kehe Food the infrastructure we needed to better manage inventory and ensure our products are available when customers are looking for them."

"Kehe Food is an exception in the industry when it comes to understanding the value of integration planning for long-term success," said John Senor, president of iWay Software. "Most organizations don't take the time to implement all the necessary infrastructure to ensure its systems are working efficiently and effectively, but by choosing iWay, Kehe has gained a competitive edge in the market and mitigated risk by future-proofing its integration architecture."
