The enhanced functionality improves project and multi-site management, customer service and warehouse management, creating operational efficiencies and enabling increased competitiveness and a more effective supply chain.

"In today's global marketplace, mid-market manufacturing companies need to improve their business processes to remain competitive," said Markus Stahl, Infor's manager of industry and product marketing. "More than 1500 German-speaking companies rely on Infor ERP COM for its robust, business-specific functionality that can help them leverage their technology investment for further business growth, reduce their total cost of ownership and improve their profitability."

Enhancements to Infor ERP COM include new customized features designed to increase collaboration for multi-site manufacturing companies. With this solution, mid-market manufacturers can automate the receipt of inventory, track the movement and storage of materials throughout the warehouse and efficiently process orders.

"COM is a flexible solution that has enabled us to customize our processes in order to increase efficiencies throughout our organization," said Peter Herzog, chief information officer at ESCHA. "In particular, we now benefit from a uniform view of business data and can streamline our processes within our entire materials management system, contributing to an increase in our overall business efficiency."

Additional highlights of the release include the support for make-or-buy and award of contract processes to provide manufacturers with more flexibility. A variety of technological improvements allows customers to use the latest database technology and eases administration work.
