Infor Announces 2005 User Of The Year At 11th Annual Infor VISUAL User Conference

Infor today announced the winners of the 2005 Infor User of the Year awards at the Infor VISUAL User Conference in Orlando, Fla. This honor is awarded annually to Infor customers that have achieved significant milestones in their organization and industry. Awards were given in three areas: Product Innovation, Development Collaboration, and Business Performance.

The Product Innovation award, given to a customer that exemplifies unique and innovative uses of the Infor VISUAL Enterprise product suite, was awarded to Aquion Partners, LP from Elk Grove Village, Ill. Accepting on behalf of Aquion Partners was Matt Hancher, Director of Information Technology.

Aquion Partners, LP comprises a number of strategic business units serving the global water and air treatment industry and has been an Infor VISUAL user since 1998. Through the strategic advantages of implementing the software across the entire organization, Aquion has managed growth by developing additional business units.

The Development Collaboration award, given to a key customer that has provided a significant contribution to the research and development of the Infor VISUAL Enterprise product suite through beta product testing and enhancement efforts, was presented to Pride Manufacturing Company in Burnham, ME. Accepting on behalf of Pride was Dale Thomas, Corporate Information Technology Manager.

Pride Manufacturing develops hardwood turnings for a variety of industries including furniture, craft and hobby, and toy industries for over 40 years. The organization operates six manufacturing facilities globally and has implemented Infor VISUAL products to assist in centralizing several business functions including offering consolidated reporting capabilities and real-time processing. As an Infor partner, Pride Manufacturing has been instrumental in supporting the development of VISUAL Financials Global Edition and VISUAL Centralized Order Entry products.

The Business Performance award, given to a customer that has achieved outstanding business performance improvements and productivity gains through the use of the Infor VISUAL Enterprise product suite, was awarded to The Marena Group in Lawrenceville, Ga. Accepting on behalf of The Marena Group was John Rogelstad, Director of Operations.

Through the implementation of the VISUAL Enterprise product suite, the Marena Group, manufacturer of post-surgical medical compression garments, has increased its throughput 100 percent and reduced its lead time by 50 percent. In addition, the organization has maintained 100 percent domestic production, inventory turns have improved 30 percent and the company's product offering has tripled to more than 6,000 items. All of these milestones were achieved without modifying any standard VISUAL tables or application modules.
