24 of "Supply Chain Top 25" Use Company's B2B e-Commerce Services

Gaithersburg, MD - (Marketwire) - GXS, the world's leading provider of business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce solutions, today announced that twenty-four of the companies recognized in "The AMR Supply Chain Top 25 for 2010" rankings use services provided by GXS, including Dell, Microsoft, Tesco and Best Buy.

The goal of the research, now in its sixth year, is to raise awareness of the supply chain discipline and how it impacts business. In the report, AMR Research, now a part of Gartner, profiles Fortune Global 500 companies by using a composite score comprised of financial data and peer opinion.

According to the report, "By embedding product and process innovation in supply chain operations and consciously managing and shaping demand from a customer, production and fulfillment standpoint, the companies included in our Top 25 are doing a lot more than just shipping."

Leading supply chain performers, as defined by the Supply Chain Top 25, are more financially successful than their competitors, according to a study by Dr. Alex Ellinger and a team of colleagues at the University of Alabama and Texas A&M cited in the report.

GXS believes that operating a world-class supply chain requires a seamlessly integrated network of trading partners. By using GXS software and services, a company can extend electronic connections across 100% of their business network, accelerate the flow of transactions and critical files, proactively find and fix trading partner errors and manage compliance issues.
