Georgia-Pacific Drives Greater Distribution Efficiency and Competitiveness

Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products Group has created a WMS Center of Excellence based at their enormous manufacturing site in Green Bay, WI to standardize platforms and improve support across all distribution facilities.

As part of this process, they selected RedPrairie's DLx(TM) Warehouse WMS for implementation at four major sites in their Northwest Service Center to complement four other sites already running the system in Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. To drive further efficiencies and competitiveness, they are also rolling out RedPrairie's DLx(TM) Labor productivity management system at all eight sites. The standardization on RedPrairie WMS and Labor solutions also complements Georgia-Pacific's use of RedPrairie's DLx(TM) Transportation system at their national load control center in Green Bay. Together, these three systems, which are the cornerstones of RedPrairie's DigitaLogistix(TM) suite, help Georgia-Pacific gain competitive advantage by driving out distribution costs and providing improved customer service.
