Fleet Management: Wireless Matrix Signs Service Agreement With Mid-South Synergy

Wireless Matrix Corporation recently announced it has signed a two-year service agreement with Texas-based Mid-South Synergy for vehicle communication platforms, wireless network connectivity, and FleetOutlook application services.

Under the terms of the agreement, Mid-South Synergy will purchase twenty Wireless Matrix Terrestrial MBS2 (TMBS2) wireless data communicators, and ten multi-mode MBS2 Low Profile units, for deployment within their service fleet. The units will support field service applications from Partner Software and Milsoft, deployed by Mid-South Synergy. Wireless Matrix's FleetOutlook application will also be implemented with a segment of the deployed units, providing vehicle telemetry data.

Mid-South Synergy represents the first Wireless Matrix customer to receive the benefits of the TMBS2, MBS2-LP and Fleet Outlook, working with Milsoft and Partner Software applications, as a fully integrated solution at the time of deployment.

"This service agreement with Mid-South Synergy provides further validation of the value Wireless Matrix solutions can provide to regional utility cooperatives," said J. Richard Carlson, President and CEO of Wireless Matrix. "We look forward to a long and beneficial business relationship with them."

All units will provide GPRS EDGE and 802.11b network communications with integrated GPS functionality. The MBS2-LP units will include satellite connectivity for coverage extension in rural areas.

Headquartered in Navasota, TX, Mid-South Synergy is a rural cooperative providing electric, water and internet services to over 20,000 customers in six counties.
