Even Blizzards Can't Prevent Us From Delivering Life-Saving Drugs

Edinburgh and the Lothians to Fife, was closed for the first time ever due to the snow with both the Edinburgh and Glasgow airports also closed. To make matters worse, the major motorways and other main roads were closed by police due to jack-knifed lorries and stranded cars. Our client had two consignments of “compassionate use medicines” that had to be shipped immediately to Germany and Sweden.

Marken borrowed a 4x4 Land Rover Defender to pick up the consignment. Marken waited for police to clear vehicles blocking roads and the snow ploughs to get through and then arranged for a special dedicated driver who drove through the night to London Heathrow. The packages were sent on the first available flight from Heathrow on the day after the blizzard. The consignees were contacted to advise them of the estimated delivery time which was that same evening.
