Leading supply chain solution provider to host round table in Antwerp

WAM Systems, a leading provider of supply chain planning solutions, recently announced plans to host a round table strategy session for supply chain planning professionals in the process industry. Part of WAM’s Insight conference line, the round table will focus on the global economy’s extended impact on the European process industry and how companies are responding with revisions to their planning processes and planning technologies.

Since 1987, WAM has been helping companies in the chemical, polymer, pharmaceutical and oil & gas refining industries to visualize and optimize their supply chains. Leveraging WAM’s supply chain planning decision support and optimization technologies, WAM’s customers gain improvements in the speed, efficiency, flexibility, and integration of their supply chains which contributes to significant cost reductions, increased profitability, productivity and customer service.

WAM plays a leading role in industry outreach, hosting WBR conferences including Logichem Europe and SCMchem (US) and sharing insight from its ongoing benchmarking program, now in its 6th year. WAM extends this outreach via its own conferences—under the name WAM Insight—which are held annually throughout the world. The Antwerp round table event is part of that conference line, focusing on the European region and the process industry market.

The planned agenda for the round table includes:

  • Round table discussion of the top supply chain planning challenges for 2012-2013
  • Introduction to the WAM 2013 Full Sail Program
  • Sharing of best practice tactical and strategic planning
  • Networking with industry peers from the throughout the European process industry
  • Peer discussion sharing measurable supply chain planning improvements through improved workflow and technologies
  • A close look at WAM’s planning technology, delivering improved visibility, collaboration, analytics, optimization and decision support

Attendees of the round table will learn more about WAM’s 2013 Full Sail Program which offers to help companies quickly analyze weaknesses in their current planning processes and suggest changes that will improve planning efficiency and reduce operating cost. In a three step program, WAM reviews key areas of a company’s current tactical and strategic planning processes and outlines steps that lead planning teams to more efficient decision-making, improved supply chain visibility and better collaboration across the enterprise. The program will be offered as a complimentary service to participating companies and will be coordinated over the following months.

WAM Insight Regional Round Table Antwerp is open to supply chain planning professionals throughout the European process industries. The event will be held on Thursday, 20 September at the Hilton Antwerp. For more information please visit www.waminsight.com.
