El Corte Ingles Partners With Manhattan Associates

Madrid, Spain and Atlanta, GA (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Global supply chain optimization provider Manhattan Associates (Nasdaq:MANH) today announced that El Corte Inglés, Spain's largest retailer and the world's second largest department store retailer, has selected multiple components from the Manhattan SCOPE® supply chain solution portfolio as it embarks on a transformation project to replace its legacy enterprise systems. The Manhattan solutions are set to become a core component of the retailer's supply chain technology platform and will optimize order fulfilment across its multi-channel retail operations.

El Corte Inglés' retail operations include department stores, hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience stores, fashion boutiques and specialty retail along with a growing online business.

Manhattan and its local Geopartner Supply Nexus, which serves as a true extension to Manhattan's business operations in the Iberian Peninsula, will work alongside El Corte Inglés on the implementation project. The deployment will initially focus on supporting El Corte Inglés' e-commerce operations managed through distribution centers (DCs) in Madrid, before progressing to the company's entire multi-channel retail operation. Long term, the Manhattan solutions will support El Corte Inglés' retail operations in Portugal as well as Spain.
