eGate Solutions, Pourshins Sign New Contract With Delta Air Lines
eGate Solutions and Pourshins, gategroup member companies, have entered into long-term agreements with Delta Air Lines to implement the airline's next-generation business applications solutions and logistics management for in-flight catering.
Delta, which operates service to more destinations worldwide than any other carrier, has a long-standing relationship with eGate Solutions, a globally recognized provider of centralized business applications and software as well as in-flight service management.
Under the new contract, Delta's food and beverage operations will benefit from eGate Solutions' robust InFlight Exchange 4 suite. This communications platform will provide Delta with online, 24-hour, end-to-end support -- from menu and galley planning, to the design and implementation of new and creative on-board product solutions, to service scheduling, day-of- operation service ordering and invoice validation. eGate Solutions will provide these in-flight management services through a dedicated customer care team in Atlanta, Delta's headquarters and the world's busiest airline city hub.
Pourshins will assume responsibility for the majority of Delta's global in-flight food, beverage and equipment sourcing and logistics. Pourshins will apply its leading-edge supply chain management and logistics offering together with its proprietary asset management systems and processes to further optimize Delta's supply chain.
Through this solid collaboration with eGate Solutions and Pourshins, Delta will achieve overall cost savings by minimizing inventory and working capital needs, while introducing best-in-class food, beverage and equipment products.
