DSV Goes Live With CargoWise EdiEnterprise Platform
CargoWise edi, a leading provider of integrated international supply chain logistics management systems, announced that DSV Air & Sea, the multinational freight forwarding division of DSV A/S, has fully implemented the CargoWise ediEnterprise solution in its Canadian operation, the first of several global installations.
CargoWise edi recently contracted with DSV Air and Sea Division to apply its ediEnterprise system, a highly modular enterprise-class system designed to automate and streamline the operations and management of engaged forwarding, customs brokerage, contract warehousing and international logistics systems. To meet the needs of DSV's Canadian operations, CargoWise edi also delivered additional accounting functionality and In-Bond documentation for Canadian customs required for DSV Canada. When completed, the full integration of its front and back office systems is scheduled to be global.

On May 1, DSV successfully began with Canada as the first country using the new corporate solution. DSV Canada is not only utilizing the core transportation management modules of ediEnterprise, but also deploys the financial modules to manage all our financial processes. DSV expects substantial productivity increases associated with the rollout of the new software as a result of a higher level of standardization, improved data quality, and improved functionality to support the DSV business processes."
