E-commerce platforms litter today’s online retailing landscape, but fulfilling orders placed on those platforms, especially when they include hundreds of pounds of kitchen appliances, can be the most difficult part of the equation. In the order-to-cash cycle, e-commerce software on the front end has to communicate with the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system on the back end, ensuring orders are transmitted without mistakes, payments go through, and the accounting department gets all the data it needs.
