Click Commerce Software Selected by UCCnet
On Aug. 5, 2004, GS1, formerly the UCC and the European Article Numbering association (EAN), launched the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN).
This massive retail community network will substantially increase UCCnet's trading partner communications. UCCnet selected TDNgine to manage the increased communications volume, due to its highly scalable, secure, and reliable message management center capabilities.
"Trading partner communications have increased substantially at UCCnet over the last few years. The organization required a robust software platform that can manage thousands of transactions and provide the scalability to easily grow," said Click Commerce Chairman and CEO Michael Ferro. "UCCnet's utilization of Click Commerce software confirms the quality of our technology and strength of our commitment to deliver superior business-to-business products to the world?s supply chain community."
Click Commerce TDNgine is a comprehensive message center application developed for large trading communities that require the scalability necessary for today's complex business communications. Like UCCnet, many companies have replaced systems with TDNgine, due to its ability to easily add trading partners and grow with a business. TDNgine offers sophisticated features for the transport, routing and archiving of business documents such as invoices, orders, payment notices, and inventory status, regardless of the communications protocol used by trading partners. It supports AS1, AS2, secure FTP and VAN connections simultaneously in real-time, for high-volume partner interactions.
The GDSN is a network of interoperable data pools that connect to a Global Registry. With the GDSN, trading partners in the retail community can efficiently exchange accurate and up-to-date supply chain data that is compliant with universally supported GS1 System standards. The bTrade Data Pool underwent extensive beta testing and received designation as both a source data pool for the supplier community and a recipient data pool for retailers.
