Buchner Manufacturing Accelerates Document Processes By 25% With Optio's Document Design, Automation And Print Management Solutions

Optio Software, Inc. a leading provider of software solutions dedicated to helping customers automate, manage and improve the complete lifecycle of document-intensive processes, recently announced that Canadian customer, Buchner Manufacturing, has saved time, money and resources previously dedicated to manual processes by utilizing Optio's document design, automation and print management solutions.

Buchner Manufacturing is a manufacturer and distributor of aluminium building products with facilities in Newmarket, Pefferlaw and Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and more than 2,000 customers. Buchner worked closely with Newmarket-based Phoenix Systems, a leading IT consulting company, to purchase and implement Optio's document management solutions in tandem with their SYSPRO enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The fully integrated Optio solution automatically processes 500 to 600 documents per day throughout the organization – an increase of approximately 25 percent over manual document processes.

Buchner has counted on Optio's solutions for the past four years to automate all of the company's document processes. "Virtually every document we create is formatted by Optio," said Howard Levy, Buchner's Controller and Operational Manager. "Thanks to Optio, we don't have any pre-printed forms. Optio prints all of our checks and our online 100-page catalog," he added. "Optio's Print Management solution makes certain that all of our documents are faxed, e-mailed or printed at the right destination."

According to Levy, the most important benefit of Optio's technology is that it allows the company to create and maintain its corporate image in all of its communications.
