Brightpoint North America Participates In The Association For Operations Management Certified Supply Chain Professional Program
Indianapolis, IN (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brightpoint, Inc. (Nasdaq:CELL) announced today that its subsidiary, Brightpoint North America L.P. ("Brightpoint"), has adopted APICS The Association for Operations Management's Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) program as the preferred approach to certification of its supply chain professionals. The APICS CSCP is an approach that brings Brightpoint's entire value chain into perspective by providing a truly end-to-end view of the supply chain through certification of the expertise required to manage a global supply chain and the related disciplines. The CSCP certification covers all aspects of supply chain management with emphasis in the areas of customer relationship management, supplier relationship management, operations planning and logistics and information technology. As of January 2010, approximately 6,600 people worldwide have achieved the CSCP certification. To date, more than 10 Brightpoint employees have received or are in the process of receiving the CSCP certification.
