Blommer Chocolate Company Partners With AGI Worldwide To Improve Warehouse Productivity And Meet FDA Regulations

Leading Chocolate Manufacturer to lower cost, increase productivity, and meet government regulations with AGI' Warehouse Management and RFID Tracking Solutions.

AGI Worldwide, provider of the industry's most innovative software solutions for supply chain execution, announced today that Blommer Chocolate Company, the largest producer of Bulk Chocolate in North America, has selected its WMS SCE solutions to help the company improve operational efficiencies in its warehouse operations.

Blommer Chocolate, with production facilities in Pennsylvania, Illinois, and California, will deploy AGI's WMS and RFID Tracking software solutions at its plant operations and warehousing facilities to accommodate Blommers significant growth, as well as the Bioterrorism Act's requirements for better accountability related to every movement of product.

AGI's solutions will integrate with Blommers's existing order processing and accounting systems. Key components of the total solution will include:

• A Warehouse Management System (WMS): The WMS will enable Blommer to streamline receiving processes through use of Advanced Shipping Notices, achieve real-time inventory visibility and lot control, improve order picking productivity, and have paperless operations though use of radio frequency terminals.
• RFID tracking on outbound and inter company shipments
