ASAP Automation And Bastian Material Handling Outfit Purdue University With A State Of The Art Supply Chain Management Laboratory
ASAP Automation and Bastian Material Handling (BMH) have partnered with Purdue University to outfit their Supply Chain Management Technology Lab (SCMT Lab) with advanced picking hardware and software to heighten the in-class experience of running a supply chain and distribution operation.
ASAP and BMH understand the importance of a quality education to prepare students for a successful career in industry. The supply chain and material handling industries are no different, but there are only a few places where students can get a true feel for these environments inside the classroom. Phase 1 installation on the SCMT Lab includes 8 "Pick-to-Light" locations with each location being controlled by a single device to display pick quantity. It also includes 8 "Pick-to-Display" locations where each device will control two locations (up and down) and display both quantity and location information.
