API Signs Five-Year Contract With MidEast Aviation Academy (MAA) To Provide Supply Chain And Inventory Management Services In Amman, Jordan

Aerospace Products International, Inc. (API), a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Aviation Services Inc. and a leading supplier of innovative distribution and supply chain services for the aviation industry, announces a long-term agreement with MidEast Aviation Academy (MAA) in Amman, Jordan. As part of the preferred supplier/preferred customer contract, API will provide all spare parts forecasting, procurement, and delivery services, including inventory and procurement management using API's proprietary Electronic Supply Program (ESP). MAA is one of the world's fastest growing flight training academies, operating from state-of-the-art facilities in Amman, Jordan.

At the core of the MAA-API program are API's material availability guarantees. Guaranteed availability from API ensures that MAA's entire fleet of 20 Piper aircraft, including Seminoles, Archer III and a brand new Warrior III glass cockpit, are always mission-ready. MAA's commitment to the highest quality standards made it important to select an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)-authorized source that stocks parts and provides immediate availability. API's robust demand forecasting and inventory planning capabilities will provide MAA with industry-leading product availability and reduced lead times to MAA's operation.

"MidEast Aviation Academy is positioned to become the aviation industry's leading pilot training center worldwide," says Dr. Ahmed M. Metwalli, API's President and Chief Operating Officer. "MAA's selection of API confirms API's ability to provide reliable delivery of high-quality OEM parts at a low total cost, ultimately providing tremendous value to the aviation community. We are proud and excited to have been selected by MAA to provision and manage their material requirements."

API's ESP solution will track MAA's inventory levels in real time and capture all usage information by serial/lot number and work order or aircraft tail number in order to provide MAA with valuable data for management decisions. Both MAA and API will capitalize on ESP's automated replenishment and shelf-life management features to maximize product availability and generate increased cost-efficiencies.

"The Academy proudly announces the signing of a five-year agreement with Aerospace Products International, the aviation industry's leader in providing spare parts and innovative distribution and supply chain management solutions. We are the first establishment in the Middle East to sign such a contract. This agreement makes us pioneers in this field using the latest technology," adds Captain Salim Azazi, MidEast Aviation Academy's General Manager.
