AMR Research Announces Supply Leadership Awards
Recently, AMR Research announced the winners of its Supply Chain Leadership Awards. The awards recognize companies for supply chain excellence in corporate social responsibility, environmental sustainability, small company performance, and technology leverage.
The awards, presented to the recipients at AMR Research's Supply Chain Executive Conference, are as follows:
- Corporate Social Responsibility -- Unilever, for its leadership in building supply chains that both serve customers responsibly and act as a positive social force in the wider community
- Environmental Sustainability -- Dow Chemical, for its commitment to consumer and worker safety and its decreasing carbon footprint and energy consumption
- Small Company Performance -- ViaSat, for innovative and effective supply chain management in a small to mid-sized business setting
- Technology Leverage -- Colgate-Palmolive, for outstanding achievement in managing supply chain processes on a single global ERP platform
The Supply Chain Leadership Awards are closely linked to AMR Research's Supply Chain Top 25, which uses financial data and an expert polling system to rank companies. To compile the Leadership Awards, AMR Research identified specific disciplines within the broader topic of supply chain leadership that deserve recognition on their own merits, outside of the Supply Chain Top 25 recognition.
Companies were selected based upon a traditional nomination and selection process whereby AMR Research analysts nominated and selected companies that had demonstrated leadership in supply chain management in the four categories.
