Advanced Distribution Services Adds New Warehouse Management System
Cadre Technologies announces its partnership with Advanced Distribution Services (ADS), a leading provider of logistics, fulfillment, and distribution services. Cadre will assist ADS in implementing its Cadence integrated warehouse management software.
ADS, a 38-year-old company based in Louisville, Ky., provides distribution, fulfillment and inventory management services, reverse logistics, contract packaging services, kitting and assembly services, and bar code labeling and RFID supply chain services. ADS maintains 1.3 million square feet of warehouse space between six facilities, which includes space that is FDA Food Grade approved. It operates in many different industries, including food & beverage, pharmaceutical, appliance, electronic, agricultural equipment, consumer goods and retail. The relationship between ADS and its customers has evolved into more advanced fulfillment capabilities; therefore, ADS needed a warehouse management system (WMS) to manage all its warehouse functions to increase its level of service and efficiency.
"We compared the functionality and value proposition of several other WMS providers and found that Cadence was the best fit for our business," said president of ADS Brian Johnson. "There has been nothing but anticipation among our employees over putting this new, comprehensive system in place."
Cadence warehouse management software offers peak performance and advanced management capabilities for warehouse operations. Cadence is built for third-party logistics, fulfillment, and distribution operations like ADS. Its order management system turns the fulfillment process into one streamlined logistics solution, and its support of packing, shipping, and kitting allow ADS to exceed the current level of service and improve customer relationships.
Joe Caston, chief executive officer and president for Cadre Technologies, remarked, "Our Cadence software package gives an advantage to companies like ADS that must exceed customer expectations in the warehousing and logistics industry. By implementing Cadence, ADS increases their ability to provide a complete logistics solution and keeps them ahead of the competition."
