Adalis To Present On Packaging Sustainability Strategies At Pack Expo

PACK EXPO 2008
VANCOUVER, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Adalis Corporation, a global packaging and supply chain solutions company, today announced that it will present a session on packaging sustainability at the Pack Expo International Conference taking place November 9-13, 2008 in Chicago.

Adalis President Patrick Hessini will present a session titled "Minimizing Packaging without Compromising Integrity" on Tuesday, November 11 at 12:40 p.m., during which he will discuss how sustainable packaging design, materials and technologies can positively impact energy consumption, transportation and warehouse costs. The discussion will explore solutions such as right-weighting packaging and achieving fiber reduction through reinforcement. These solutions can result in increased packaging sustainability, improved packaging performance and cost savings.

"Seventy percent of the overall sustainability of a package is determined in the design phase, which requires brand owners to implement a comprehensive sustainable packaging strategy from the start," said Hessini. "In this presentation, we will demonstrate ways companies can increase their overall bottom line sustainability through improved packaging and cost reduction."

As packaging consultants to Fortune 500 and multi-national companies, Adalis provides outsourced packaging engineering services and solutions to optimize the supply chain through improved packaging development, handling and distribution processes.

Pack Expo International focuses on the latest developments in packaging technology, machinery, materials, packages and containers, and components. PMMI sponsors and produces PACK EXPO International, which is expected to draw some 45,000 attendees to Chicago.
