Solvoyo Garners Top Award For Transforming Şok's Supply Chain Operations

Solvoyo named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine’s list of Top 100 Supply Chain Projects for 2015 for the transformational impact it had in strengthening Şok Market’s supply chain planning operations.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) - Solvoyo, an innovative cloud-based supply chain planning company, announced today that it has been named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine’s list of Top 100 Supply Chain Projects for 2015 for the transformational impact it had in strengthening Şok Market’s supply chain operations.

Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine, a top publication focused on supply chain management, annually recognizes 100 companies for the part they play in helping clients achieve excellence in supply chain operations. The magazine's editorial team bases their selection each year on (i) creative application of technology, (ii) high project ROI gained from increased supply chain efficiencies, and (iii) ambitiousness of the overall project scope and business impact.

Şok Markets - a subsidiary of Yildiz Holding, owner of Godiva and United Biscuits, is one of Turkey’s fastest growing retailer with 2,500 stores and 2014 sales of $1.7 billion. Şok’s business strategy is to offer high-quality products at low cost. In the super-competitive Turkish retail market, Şok needed to be highly efficient in their supply chain operations to be able to continually offer low prices while protecting slim margins. The company looked to Solvoyo for a solution to address its profitability, optimize inventory and help tackle its most crucial operational challenge - keeping its shelves full.

The Şok and Solvoyo team implemented a forecasting, inventory planning and automated replenishment solution that easily integrated with Şok’s existing IT infrastructure. By tightly integrating Solvoyo’s cloud based Elevation Platform (SEP) into Şok’s ERP system, the project team built a closed-loop system that cut the action gap between supply chain planning and execution.

Within three months of live operation, the Solvoyo deployment reduced stockouts by 38%, cut stock-days by 13%, and decreased waste of short shelf-life products by 8%.The increased efficiency in supply chain operations have had a direct impact on Sok’s bottom line and the company continues to work with Solvoyo to strengthen its supply chain performance.

“We are thrilled with the bottom line impact Solvoyo had on Şok and are deeply excited in our mission to create similar critical supply chain planning tools for retail clients all over the world” said, Omer Bakkalbasi Chief Innovation Officer at Solvoyo.
