RedPrairie Makes Its Labor Productivity Solution Available To The Broader Marketplace

Source: RedPrairie

RedPrairie Corporation, a global leader in supply chain technology solutions that enable business process transformation, today announced it has integrated its industry-leading productivity management solution, DLx® Labor, to Manhattan Associates' PkMS® warehouse management system at three different customers over the past several months. RedPrairie partnered with supply chain specialist consulting firm, Kurt Salmon Associates, to design and build the interfaces between Manhattan Associates' warehouse management solutions and RedPrairie's DLx® Labor. The interfaces developed for both WM for iSeries (PkMS iSeries) and WM for Open Systems (PkMS N-Tier) have enabled these customers to pass transaction level details directly into DLx® Labor to calculate individual associates' performance and provide real-time operational performance information to management.

The PkMS integrations represent the latest in a growing list of third party systems to which DLx® Labor has been integrated. RedPrairie's productivity management solution, part of its integrated supply chain execution and optimization suite, readily integrates to SAP, PeopleSoft, SSA EXE, Kewill, and Manhattan systems, as well as numerous legacy systems.

"In today's operating environment, it's critical that management be equipped with the information to identify alternatives and make decisions that will improve operational efficiencies and reduce expenses," stated John Karonis, the leader of KSA's Distribution Services group. "Our project teams were easily able to develop the interfaces between Manhattan's Warehouse Management solutions and RedPrairie's Productivity Management suite of solutions. The ease and speed of integration to RedPrairie means our clients are able to obtain the value from KSA's performance improvement services and RedPrairie's industry leading software, regardless of their existing WMS platform or capabilities."

Peter Schnorbach, Product Marketing Leader at RedPrairie says, "Users of any Warehouse Management System can take advantage of the most advanced productivity management solution in the marketplace. RedPrairie can now assist users of other Warehouse Management Systems who are unable to obtain an equivalent productivity solution from their existing vendor."

Schnorbach continues, "Integrating systems is never 'plug-and-play.' It requires extensive knowledge of the data, appropriate mapping and significant understanding of the variables that can affect integration success. RedPrairie's four decades in implementing productivity management systems at over 400 sites allow us to deliver a solution that works with little risk and lower cost."

RedPrairie Company Leader John Jazwiec comments, "Labor expense represent 50 percent or more of distribution costs for many companies, and it continues to rise. RedPrairie is filling a gap in the market by expanding the customers who can take advantage of the savings associated with our solutions and expertise." RedPrairie's productivity management solution consists of the most advanced labor management software supported by 40 years of industrial engineering expertise and broad integration experience to help companies dramatically reduce their labor costs.
