TOC Logistics International, a global leader in supply chain solutions, will be utilizing a new Container Freight Station (CFS) warehouse facility in Lansing to support customer growth in the Midwest market

Lansing, MI (PRWEB) - TOC Logistics (TOC), a minority owned global logistics company, announced today a new service utilizing the Container Freight Station (CFS) at Port Lansing, located in Lansing, Michigan. TOC will be importing container freight from Europe on a bi-weekly basis with weekly service likely to begin within 6 months. The recently established CFS uses 12,000 square feet of the 48,000 multi-tenant warehouse and provides TOC Logistics International the resources to expand services.

“TOC Logistics International is pleased to partner with Port Lansing to launch the CFS and provide our existing customer base a new service that will improve their Midwest operations,” said Gary Cardenas, TOC founder and president. “We are confident this service will also lead to new customers that are searching for alternatives to the congestion at traditional freight hubs.”

The CFS is adjacent to TOC’s Foreign Trade Zone and domestic warehouse space and complements TOC’s growing presence in the Michigan market. The new Europe to Midwest service will simplify imports and exports of international container freight. The freight can be warehoused at TOC or distributed throughout the Midwest or Canada as needed. TOC’s current warehousing services include storage, inventory management, order processing, distribution and coordinating cross border and inland trucking.

TOC has secured four anchor clients to utilize the new service that will be importing and processing automotive goods. Products bound for anchor clients will arrive on a bi-weekly basis, with the first containers to arrive from Europe in the last week of June. TOC is proud to be investing, promoting commerce and adding new jobs to the Lansing community.

“This launch of the new Europe to Mid-West service using the CFS is a key part of the long term strategy for growing business with existing customers, and supporting new business growth,” said Brent Case, TOC Global Development Executive based at the Lansing warehouse and office. “Conceivably, as this service grows, TOC could launch similar services from other active regions around the world.”

The CFS provides TOC additional means to assist shippers through superior customer service and reliability. The company anticipates the new service will soon lead to additional freight handling jobs, as increased levels of freight will flow through Lansing more frequently.
