ClearOrbit Launches Community Web Site To Promote Collaboration And Information Sharing Among Customers And Partners Worldwide

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ClearOrbit, a leading provider of real-time supply chain execution and reverse logistics software solutions, today launched the company's Community Site, a comprehensive Web resource for its customer and partner communities. The Community Site provides ClearOrbit's more than 300 customers and partners with a venue in which to share industry knowledge and exchange ideas to better understand and solve key supply chain challenges, as well as drive innovation and shape future product direction. With its Community Site, ClearOrbit is among the first supply chain software companies to facilitate peer knowledge sharing and collaboration among manufacturing and distribution companies.

ClearOrbit's Community Site marks another step in the company's commitment to helping manufacturers and distributors worldwide solve critical supply chain issues so they can focus on core business operations that drive revenues and sales. The Community Site follows the company's July launch of the ClearOrbit Web Store — the first of its kind to offer the supply chain industry a one-stop shop for hardware, software, and services.

"During the last decade, ClearOrbit has built a large, vibrant community of customers and partners who have provided valuable insight in shaping our product development and service delivery processes," said Warren Sumner, ClearOrbit vice president of marketing and products. "The new Community Site further demonstrates our dedication to serving customers on an ongoing basis, long after they've successfully deployed our technology, by providing them an easy and collaborative way to network, submit ideas for new products and services, access relevant content, and receive support."

The Community Site comprises four sections: Idea Exchange, Forum, Support Center and Resource Center.

  • The Idea Exchange – empowers customers to drive ClearOrbit's product direction by publicly posting requests for new products or services. Community members can vote on ideas and refine them further by adding comments. The most popular ideas "bubble to the top," enabling ClearOrbit to respond with solutions to best meet customer needs. ClearOrbit will provide timely, ongoing public feedback on submitted ideas, letting customers know of ideas undergoing evaluation or implementation.
  • The Forum – facilitates discussions on a wide range of topics between customers, partners and ClearOrbit staff, enabling customers to benefit from the combined wisdom of the global ClearOrbit community.
  • The Resource Center – provides continuously updated links to articles about best practices, tips and tricks and other resources of value to supply chain execution professionals. Like the Forum, this section enables ClearOrbit to serve as a valuable source by which customers can become more informed – and ultimately more effective – in their critical supply chain practices.
  • The Support Center – enables customers with specific technical issues to log a help request online and track its progress.
