Quiksilver Selects The HighJump Labor Management System (LMS) To Optimize Workforce And Support Planned Growth

HighJump Software, a global provider of supply chain management software, announced Quiksilver has selected the HighJump labor management system (LMS) to optimize the workforce at their Americas distribution center in Mira Loma, Calif. that distributes apparel, footwear and accessories across the Quiksilver, Roxy and DC shoes brands.

HighJump Labor Advantage compiles real-time performance data to enable companies to plan and measure labor activities throughout their distribution facility. HighJump Labor Advantage objectively measures employee performance and identifies those whose performance consistently exceeds the standard, as well as employees who need assistance. In addition, visibility tools provide real-time data on actual employee utilization and performance versus established standards, allowing operations managers to detect inefficiencies and take corrective action.

Quiksilver selected the HighJump labor management system because of the integration with their HighJump warehouse management system (WMS) and their longstanding relationship with HighJump Software. Quiksilver has been a HighJump WMS user since 2001. The initial deployment of the labor management system will include performance management for 120 team members working in the high-speed pick modules. Future projects will rollout the software to all 500 team members in the distribution center who perform processes such as unloading, receiving, packing, value added services and moving product in and out of a high volume tilt tray sorter.

"HighJump has been a trusted partner for Quiksilver for many years." said Andres Castillo, Senior Vice President of Distribution Operations, Quiksilver. "Labor management was the next progression in making our distribution center operations more efficient and supporting plans for growth. HighJump's labor management system was the logical choice given their knowledge of our operations, integration with the existing HighJump WMS and our years of strong partnership."

"Quiksilver's selection of HighJump's labor management system is representative of our commitment to provide solutions that support our customers' continued improvement of their distribution operations," said Russell Fleischer, CEO, HighJump Software. "Customers can achieve even greater efficiency in their workforce when introducing a labor management system that works in conjunction with their WMS. We look forward to helping Quiksilver achieve the benefits they anticipate."

HighJump Software is exhibiting at ProMat 2011 in Chicago in booth #4572.
